Whenever I have flowers around the house or growing in the garden, I can’t help but talk to them.

Just a simple greeting of hello.

Or a simple question of how they are doing today.

My husband looks at me a bit like I’m crazy when I do this,

but when I look at them, they’re each so different, with their own personalities…

…each like a little soul…

Some shy, some showy…

…but each beautiful in their own way.

  1. Neely, what a stunning set! It’s the various textures you’ve captured so beautifully here that especially caught my attention. The third to last shot looks like a fluffy petticoat.

    • Thank you, Marianne! I’m not normally a fan of red (well, at least not on myself!), but these ranunculus wear it so well :). The intense red is really rich and beautiful!

  2. Neely, every picture is just so perfect that I would say I loved each and every one of them. How wonderful to capture the colors and the details in your frame! One gorgeous set of Macro Mondays! You are really an inspiration, Neely!

    • Thank you so much, Lakshmi! So sweet and kind of you! There is something just so breathtaking to me when I put the camera up and look through the lens — so many times I see things I would never have noticed before — so much beauty everywhere!

    • Thank you, Margarita! So sorry to hear that it is still gray and bare in NYC — hoping that Spring will show its face soon over there! Glad I could send a little color your way :)

    • Thank you so much, Sultan! Macro photography has always been a favorite of mine — there’s always something exciting to discover. Thanks for visiting!
