“It is at the edge of a petal that love waits.” -William Carlos Williams

As I mentioned in a previous Macro Monday post, ranunculus are one of my favorite flowers, and since you all know how much I love flowers, that’s saying a lot! A friend surprised me with a bouquet of these pretty pastel-colored ranunculus blooms. I love the ombre color, and how it looks as if someone took a tiny brush and painted the edges of these soft petals.

I’m sad to see them bid their farewell as their season is just about done here in California, but at least new things are continuing to pop up in the garden and farmers market. What flowers are starting to appear near you? Please share — I’d love to hear!

  1. I bought a bouquet of white ranunculus for Easter and it made me think of your previous ranunculus macro monday post. These are beautiful too Neely!

    • Thank you so much, Kay! Taking pictures of both sets of ranunculus made me realize how different they can be, even being the same type of flower! So glad you were able to enjoy some for Easter :)

  2. I don’t have a good memory for names, especially flowers, but I so love flowers, and love to shoot them too. Looking at your pics makes me crave for a macro lens ;) Gorgeous!

Have something to say? Would love to hear it!
