This is the second image in a Macro series revolving around the theme of “soft.” I love how one of these tiny strawflowers is beginning to unfold and unfurl right before us. Strawflowers are actually firm to the touch and their leaves have a crisp, paper-like quality. Yet, the way their petals gently overlap one another and the muted color of this type of strawflower lend a delicate softness to them.
